MMTC-PAMP India’s purity verification process operates on the principle of creating a homogenous melt, which assures that any sample represents the entire bulk. Once representative of the entire bulk, the gold purity in the sample is determined using a well-calibrated, high intensity X-ray Fluorescence spectrometer (XRF) that detects presence of all metals and where accuracy is as good as 1-2 parts per thousand.
The entire process of weighing, melting, verifying the purity and issuing the certificate of purity is completed within 45 minutes. The customer witnesses the entire process, which is carried out in a transparent, easy-to-understand and professional manner. The verified purity gold is delivered to the customer in a sealed packaging, accompanied by a certificate of its gold content. A nominal processing fee (plus applicable service tax) is charged for the service provided. Our LBMA accreditation assures its acceptance by Banks operating the Gold Monetization Scheme, as well as by jewelers.
Weighing balances and XRF are calibrated daily, using certified check weights and internationally tested reference samples. Our range of reference calibration samples is the most exhaustive in the country, which assures our verification process is conducted to the highest international standard.
Results of weighing and gold purity are system-generated, with no room for any manual intervention, thus assuring complete transparency, precision and reliability. We also offer to buy the settlement gold content should the customer opt to sell the same, in which case the process charge is waived off.
